The only half legitimate reason is that it'll force the low density of population cliser together.

Well TA was always fun and all, HB on the other hand, is total bull..droppings

2 things I like;

Sealed Deck will be implemented with new UI and revised rules aimed at making pick-up group formation a little easier to offset the limited nature of the format.
IF Sealed Deck thingy turns up good, then it might feel allright to remove TA. HB should be removed a long time ago tbh, it's like watching a Droks run or something..

This.

Part of the reason why I doubt Linsey will pull through on sealed deck is that she seems to hold this belief that everyone from the HB/TA pvp community will just happily trot their way to Sealed Play and it will all be one big happy family, and failure to delete the old formats would cause a devestating fracture. What the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing shit? Fail psychology 101 much? Hoo damn.

Reality: People move on when there is something better. There is no need to delete anything. If Sealed play is good enough and HB/TA becomes emptied on their own because of it, then it would be a good move to delete them. Delete them Beforehand and you would just be trying to force the playerbase to change their format, which will actually just cause a lot of them to rage and move on to Aion till GW2 comes...<conspiracy theory>Or maybe thats what they want?</conspiracy theory>

Continuing to support a broken format for a small percentage of players when their resources are already stretched is illogical, as well as unsound from a business standpoint.

Reusing some of those currently under utilized resources to decrease the development time of a new, wanted, unbroken (keeping the faith) format that will interest a large percentage of the pvp playerbase is a much more logical and sound decision.
U have absolutely no idea what the hell u are talking about. Every semiretarded person knows all gvg gimmicks are born in TA. Anet has never done a single good thing to TA.

What support are u talking about? It's not like they are doing anything for TA wake up ffs. It also takes no fundings... nothing.

Sealed deck as wanted and unbroken format? Says who? You and your pve pals?

I lol'd. They'd have to support it in the first place in order to continue with it. No one has yet provided a good reason not to just let it be, without change or fix. You'll probably find the vast majority of the (admittedly rather small) TA population willing to compromise on this.

What support? I am and a large amount of TA players(if they're still around) are waiting for this "support" which has supposedly been given towards TA. However, If anet actually did something earlier when TA guilds and the community were more active, it could have actually gone somewhere.

im pretty sure sd will bring in the biggest draw from pve, ab, and the likes.

oh and i'm also pretty sure they don't know how to "fix" ta because ta has no obs mode--anet is most likely clueless as to what even goes on in there.

I really don't see why they see the necessity to remove TA as well.

I personally barely ever play it, but i know it's build can be pretty bad. However any TA players i know know that Anet barely gives a shit and have given up moaning about it, so why just remove it when they're not even trying to fix it anyway. Doesn't make sense to me.

Well, judging from the last update it doesn't look like they use observer mode at all.

I don't really see why TA needs to be removed, but I don't understand why anyone's being negative about Sealed Deck, if done well this can be an extremely fun and interesting game type with virtually no skill balance issues (depending slightly on how long the cycle on decks takes.

the usable skills of Sealed Deck should be randomized once a week.

Once a week isn't nearly often enough.

Yeah this is hardly sealed deck, it's more like TA with a changing meta. So I don't think the TA folks need to be so upset.

Sealed deck will use modified HB maps, i.e. shrine capping. If it is 4v4 annihilation, no reason not to use RA/TA maps.

I don't think that was clearly stated. The HB maps would be reused for something, doesn't say what, could be later down the road. And heck they could just remove the shrines and there you have some more arena maps.
